THE DEFACED Announce New Drummer
June 4, 2006THE DEFACED, the Swedish band featuring DARKANE/TERROR 2000 guitarist Klas Ideberg, have posted the following message on their official web site:
"Time for some news and here's what we've been up to lately. We're happy to announce that the spot as the new drummer of THE DEFACED has been filled. Henrik Pommer, who we auditioned a couple of days ago, is the man for the job. The audition was simply one of those occasions when everything just fit from beginning to end. We played through a set with tracks like 'October Ruins', 'Fumes from the Swamp', 'Once in Between', 'The Fading Suns', to name a few. Henrik did a terrific job and practically nailed them. We're happy to welcome him to THE DEFACED and we really feel that he'll fit in just perfectly, both with his musicianship and on a personal level. Awesome! Furthermore the mixing is shaping up really well. Klas is back from the DARKANE tour with SADUS, and has still to go over details in some of the songs, but we can definitely spot the light on the other end. Everything is basically mixed and what remain are stuff like touches of effects, mainly on vocal parts, here and there. It sounds absolutely great, we can tell you that much. Klas will probably round up the last songs in short and after that we're going to master the album before we head out seeking the best possible label for the release. We've got some leads and we'll see where we end up… Stay tuned!"
THE DEFACED have set "Anomaly" as the title of their third album, which is being described by the band as "more sublime and varied than the [band's last CD] 'Karma in Black' album," featuring "beautiful harmonies mixed with really aggressive parts."
THE DEFACED's sophomore album, "Karma In Black", was issued in 2003 via Italy's Scarlet Records.
